In an absolute first, I took up the chance to perform a new responsibility for the very first time in many years. As I got out of my comfort zone and became the Director’s Assistant for India’s premier football league – ISL. From tricky timings to matching on – air sponsor responsibilities, I was able to handle all that was thrown at me with aplomb. It was a rewarding experience to say the least.

Add to it a 4-month bio bubble life and you got an extremely patient and accommodating version of me who could handle the trials and tribulations of daily tests, strict adherence to rules and still manage to deliver at the best of my abilities.

Doing smaller leagues has its own unique challenges as your skills are tested to the limit. While live producing the matches I was also performing DA duties as well that of a Statistician. It was a very good fortnight of solid Cricket work. Being in the Commentary Box alongside Cricketing giants and sharing the stage with them was a very enriching experience.

As a first for me I had the privilege to Floor Manage an entire series from Test matches  to ODIs to T20s. It was a very fulfilling experience to be a part of an entire cricket series. To add to that, I got not 1 but 2 back to back series to cover in Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively.

The most viewed and loved tournament in the whole wide world – The Football World Cup. I was part of the team broadcasting the Hindi version for our viewers. I was in charge of churning out multiple color stories, football packages, interesting tit bits and more for my Producers.

Had a great time doing this assignment and it surely helped me take my command over the Hindi language to the next level. Mazzaa aa gaya!

Worked on the best Hockey League across the world. Worked on an extremely rigorous and telling schedule with a tight turnaround time to prepare for back to back matches in quick succession. I produced great results with zero errors through the tournament by being my Producer – Director’s able eyes and ears.

Was a part of the cricket revolution coming back to Pakistan as I Floor Managed the Pakistan Super League Season 5 which was held in its entirety in Pakistan. A challenging task no doubt but certainly a fruitful one as I managed the Sponsors, the Crowds and most importantly, the Cricket.

As ISL got into it’s 4^th season it became bigger and better with the addition of 2 teams and a longer season which upped the challenge without a shadow of doubt.

The 4 month long league tested not only my skill set but also perseverance and dedication to the job assigned.

Came out stronger and richer in experience.

In charge on the entire pre match, mid match and post-match coverage along with producing the live matches. Handled ROs, briefed entire Crew, Anchors and Afghani Counterpart (Producer). These efforts ensured we delivered a near perfect product which would set the standards for all future sporting coverage in Afghanistan.
